Welcome to NSAC - Far Western Chapter
Message from the President, Renee Avilla
Thank you for your interest and membership in the Far Western Chapter of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives! The Chapter’s Board of Directors and Program Committee have worked to put together a diverse and educational program for our 2015 Far Western Chapter meeting, which will be held May 20-22, 2015 in Napa, CA.
Our Chapter’s Board of Directors includes representatives from cooperatives and service providers in our region. I am honored to serve this chapter and its geographic and industry-diverse membership. We encourage our members to get involved and provide feedback related to chapter events, program agendas and the various committee opportunities. There are also significant resources and learning opportunities to be found on the National NSAC website.
Please take a few moments to learn more about the Far Western Chapter and consider how you can get involved in the Chapter during the coming year:
1. Mark your calendars for the Far Western Chapter meeting, to be held May 20-22, 2015 at the Embassy Suites in Napa, CA. Please see the Annual Meeting link to the left for further information. The meeting includes an optional Cooperative Education session, as well as sessions related to Tax/Audit and Accounting updates, IT, Water, Labor and Business Sustainability. The schedule will also include an update on the political landscape in California and a World and U.S. Economic outlook. Please join us for this opportunity to learn, earn CPE credits, and network with your peers in the industry.
2. Consider donating to our Early Bird and Late Bird prizes, which are distributed throughout each annual meeting. We are seeking logo items, non-perishable food products, and cash donations for give-aways throughout our Napa meeting. Please contact K-deep Dhaliwal with any questions or donations (K-deep.Dhaliwal@mossadams.com).
3. Contact me (email@example.com) if you have an interest on serving on a committee or have other suggestions and ideas to assist in building upon our Chapter and local cooperatives’ successes.
